The Competent Doctors – Coordination Functional Unit makes use of the collaboration of professional figures, Contact Persons, who participate in the health surveillance activity in the different company macro-structures (Districts and Hospitals).

The recipients are the Employees of the ASL of Frosinone.
Services / Activities provided
The activity of the Competent Doctors is carried out, as required by Legislative Decree 81/08, through the carrying out of:
- preventive medical examinations;
- periodic medical examinations, at intervals provided for by the Health Protocol drawn up by the Competent Doctors and filed with the General Management, in order to express a judgment of suitability for the specific task;
- medical examinations after returning from illness or injuries lasting more than 60 days;
- medical examinations at the end of the employment relationship when required by current legislation;
- medical examinations at the request of the worker (if deemed by the competent doctor to be related to occupational risks).
Based on the results of the medical examinations, the Competent Doctors make one of the following judgments relating to the specific task, informing the Employer and the worker in writing:
- suitability;
- partial, temporary or permanent suitability, with prescriptions and/or limitations;
- ineligibility for the temporary or permanent task;
- permanent unsuitability.
In addition, Competent Doctors:
- collaborate with the Employer and the Prevention and Protection Service in the assessment of risks in the workplace, including for the purposes of planning, where necessary, health surveillance, the preparation of the implementation of measures for the protection of the health and psychophysical integrity of workers;
- visit work environments once a year or at different intervals that they establish based on the risk assessment;
- collaborate in the implementation of training and information programs for workers on the risk factors present in the work activity;
- finally, they collaborate in the implementation and enhancement of voluntary health promotion programmes, in accordance with the principles of social responsibility.
How to access
Employee medical visits are arranged by appointment. The current organization of the service provides for the territorial distribution of the activity of the competent doctors.
