FLU OPEN DAY “APPOINTMENT NEXT SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2, 2023”

Let us, all together, give a shoulder to the influence to spend the Christmas season peacefully with the people we love!

The Asl of Frosinone organizes, for next Saturday, December 2, 2023, an Open Day, with the free offer of the flu vaccine for grandparents, parents, boys and children, opening vaccination offices in the four Districts that will cover the entire provincial territory.

In the morning, the Operators of the Vaccine Activities Coordination UOC, coordinated by Dr. Maria Gabriella Calenda, will be available to those who want to take shelter from the seasonal flu that, in recent weeks, is beginning to circulate in an important way.

The appeal of Dr Calenda, Head of the Vaccine Activities Coordination Unit

The seasonal flu has come a little earlier than the other years, registering, in recent weeks, a significant increase in cases with the epidemic curve that is rising exponentially. Fever, even very high, cold and a lot of cough: symptomatology that lasts several days and already forces many adults and children to bed, with a serious risk of complications for fragile subjects due to age and pathological condition. Again thisyear, we had assumed this, in view of the situation experienced in the years of the pandemic, but this advance on the timing and virulence of the different forms is likely to increase the number of cases even more.
But we still have time to defend ourselves with vaccination: the flu vaccine has been used for many years, effective and safe, which allows us to protect ourselves and everyone around us. The more we increase the number of vaccinated subjects, the less the virus will have the opportunity to circulate and affect the most fragile. And that is why, in addition to the enormous work being carried out by GMMs, PLSs and Vaccine Services in the 2023-2024 Influenza Vaccination Campaign, we have organized the Open Influenza Day for Saturday, December 2, with the activation of vaccination sites in all four company districts. Vaccination will be offered to everyone who has not yet been vaccinated and will decide to do so. We trust in the sensitivity and adhesion of our population to finally spend the Christmas Holidays together with our loved ones in serenity and joy!”
