Two modern neonatal islands in the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology of the Holy Trinity of Sora

Two new and modern newborn islands at the Holy Trinity of Sora to ensure the best care for newborns, completing the care efficiency and safety project of the birth path of the Paediatrics and Neonatology department.

These are thermal cribs equipped with highly technological and innovative instruments, equipped with equipment to warm the baby thanks to the well-lit resuscitation bed, with adjustable heat source, thermal probe and timer and equipped with equipment necessary for:

warm and position the newborn, aspirate the first respiratory tract, support breathing, support cardio-circulatory and metabolic stability, monitor heart rate, oxygenation and blood pressure.

The words of the Director of the Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology Dr. Luigi Di Ruzza

“The two new neonatal islands replace and complement those already present that, being technologically still very valid, we are already using within the neonatology department. The two modern machines were placed in the two birth points: the delivery room and the operating room.

These are important arrivals, for which we thank the Strategic Management, because they allow us to animate the newborn, if necessary, according to the current methods and operating protocols provided by the Italian Society of Neonatology”.

Also coming to the Holy Trinity of Sora is an internal transport incubator equipped with all the technologies for neonatal resuscitation.

In the near future, the Spaziani department in Frosinone will also be supplied with two new neonatal islands and three state-of-the-art incubators.
